Beef Cow Basics Online Course

Bull Sales

The University of Nebraska Bull Sale is sponsored by the Beef Cattle Merchandising class taught each spring in the Animal Science Department. Students in this class get hands-on experience in advertising, catalog preparation, data collection, and the management of a seedstock bull sale. The 220 cow NU Beef Teaching herd located on the Eastern Nebraska Research and Extension Center (ENREC), near Mead, Nebraska, supplies the bulls and data for the class.
Buoy Agency for Nonprofits

Buoy is a student-run agency within the Experience Lab that serves nonprofits and other purpose-driven organizations. With guidance from a faculty liaison and professionals in residence, students build core skills in advertising and public relations while exploring professional interests. (Note: Buoy is a learning lab for students largely in their first or second year of studies at UNL. Buoy students are far less experienced than the student selected through a competitive process to work for Jacht.)
