South Central Agricultural Laboratory

The South Central Agricultural Laboratory's mission is the development and refinement of irrigated crop production practices for Nebraska Agriculture and beyond. They run approximately 100+ applied field research trials that are conducted at SCAL annually by UNL faculty and US Department of Ag scientists. The site hosts field days for ag producers and educational programming for students.

Speak Out!

Nine out of ten people with Parkinson's Disease are at risk of developing a weak voice that can lead to serious speech and swallowing issues. The Barkley Speech Language and Hearing Clinic is proud to offer an effective program that combines education, individual speech therapy and group exercise called SPEAK OUT!® to help these individuals.
Statistical Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration & Consultating Lab

The SC3L is a fee-for-service consultation lab available to those who are in need of statistical assistance. The desk is staffed around 40 hours per week by advanced PhD statistics graduate students who will work with you one-on-one to design experiments, conduct power analyses, summarize data, and conduct statistical analyses.
Stocker/Yearling Tour

Held annually at a different location each year, this tour gives producers a chance to connect with other producers and see how a stocker/yearling component can offer flexibility and profitability to a cow-calf operation. Guest speakers address current topics and hosts share what has worked and what hasn't.

The Pyramid Model: Promoting Social Emotional Competence

These training courses utilize The Pyramid Model, research-based strategies and resources from the Center on the Social and Emotional Foundations of Early Learning (CSEFEL), focusing on the social-emotional development and school readiness of young children. Trainings can be offered as part of child-care conferences, parent education training, a half-day or full-day training focused on Social-Emotional Development. Trainings with an asterisk have an additional training option for parents.

The Suite Spot is an ideal or most favorable location for food entrepreneurs and growing companies to collaborate with a diverse group of scientists, develop and test new products, and transform the food industry. The Suite Spot offers on-site private offices, dedicated desks, and hot desks with access to a state-of-the-art food facility with dedicated pilot plants, development and analytical laboratories, sensory testing, product labeling, compliance expertise and entrepreneurial consultation. The Suite Spot is located in the Food Innovation Center on Nebraska Innovation Campus.

The Nebraska Thriving Index is the first economic and quality-of-life benchmarking tool for rural Nebraska, giving Nebraska’s eight rural regions a snapshot of how they're faring, compared to similar areas across the upper-Midwest, in important areas such as education and skill, growth and renewal, infrastructure, and quality of life. The Thriving Index gives economic development professionals, community leaders, and others interested in the success of rural Nebraska a concrete report to identify areas in which their regions are thriving, as well as where they have room for growth.
Tick Tag Go

Tick Tag Go is a community-powered effort to establish baseline data on tick distributions in Nebraska. With new tick species being identified in the state, records of tick presence are critical to understanding which species are found where.This project relies on passive surveillance - the collection of ticks that you come across in your daily routine and activities.
