Backyard Farmer Garden

The Backyard Farmer Garden on UNL’s East Campus is a must see for anyone interested in cultivating a green thumb and embracing sustainable living. There are educational workshops on Thursday mornings during the growing season. This charming garden offers a hands-on experience in organic farming practices, making it an ideal destination for both novice gardeners and seasoned horticulturists.

The East Campus Discovery Days and Farmers Market at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln is a fun, family-friendly event for all ages. It’s more than a farmer’s market. It’s more than a science day. Come for the hands-on, science focused fun. Stay to enjoy live music and food trucks. Shop at our farmers market and vendor fair. Enjoy a scoop of ice cream at the newly renovated UNL Dairy Store. Take in the beauty of the Backyard Farmer garden. Activities are free, food and crafts are available for purchase.
Eisentrager-Howard Gallery

The Eisentrager-Howard Gallery, located in Richards Hall, is open to the public and hosts changing exhibitions that extend the studio and classroom. The gallery is named for Professor Emeriti of Art James Eisentrager and Dan Howard.

IGNITE Colloquium
Hixon-Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts
IGNITE is a colloquium for all Johnny Carson Center for Emerging Media Arts students, which will involve guest lectures, workshops and seminars around creative development (aesthetics, design, skills, playtesting, analysis, project management, producing, storytelling, etc.) and professional development (strengths, branding, entrepreneurship, pitching, resumes, portfolios, mental and personal health, industry overview, etc.). These colloquiums will be open to the entire university community, as well as the public.
International Quilt Museum
Located at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, the museum is a world-renowned institution that showcases the rich and diverse history of quilting. Founded in 1997, it quickly became one of the world’s largest and most comprehensive collections of quilts and related textiles, boasting more than 9,000 quilts and over 2,500 quilt-related objects.
Jazz in June
Jazz in June is an indispensable celebration that brings the community together to enjoy a distinctly American art form with a broad cultural heritage. Held every Tuesday in June in the Sheldon Sculpture Garden has become a Lincoln tradition.
Kimball Recital Hall

Kimball Recital Hall serves as the home for the Glenn Korff School of Music's concerts and recitals by faculty, students, and guest artists. It is acoustically astounding, and with 850 seats, is one of the finest concert halls in the Midwest. To provide the best possible physical setting for concerts and recitals, the building has an elliptical roof and round ceiling with an irregular surface. There is also an orchestra pit capable of accommodating a 40-member ensemble.
Larsen Tractor Museum

Lied Center for Performing Arts

Loeffel Meat Shoppe

Located on East Campus, the Loeffel Meat Shoppe is a USDA-inspected retail meat sales operation that supports the Loeffel Meat Laboratory in the Department of Animal Science at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

The Mary Riepma Ross Media Arts Center is a state-of-the-art cinema facility that serves the University, the Lincoln community, and the State of Nebraska by offering a comprehensive screening of a wide variety of high-quality cinema.
Nebraska Repertory Theatre

The Nebraska Repertory Theatre in the Johnny Carson School of Theatre and Film creates innovative theatrical experiences to ignite the imagination, challenge the heart, promote and inclusive community, and inspire the next generation of theatre artists. The Nebraska Rep is the state’s only professional regional theater and serves the entire state of Nebraska.
Scarlett Hotel
Located at Nebraska Innovation Campus, the 154-room Marriott Tribute hotel is home to The Good Life Coffee Shop; the Well & Good, the hotel’s signature restaurant; and the Barred Owl, the rooftop bar with incredible views of Lincoln. The hotel’s restaurant, bar and coffee shop are open to the public and feature Nebraska-inspired cuisine and drinks.
Sheldon Museum of Art
Sheldon Museum of Art's landmark Philip Johnson–designed building houses the collections of the Sheldon Art Association, founded in 1888, and the University of Nebraska. Together, the collections include nearly 13,000 artworks in diverse media.
UNL Dairy Store

Located on East Campus, the Dairy Store is proud to offer premium handmade dairy products as part of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln since 1917. Our products include delicious ice creams, cheeses and meats, handmade by UNL students in our on-site plant. Ice Cream for pick up and Husker gift boxes featuring our premium quality meats and cheeses can be purchased from the UNL Marketplace and at the East Campus Dairy Store.
University of Nebraska State Museum Morrill Hall
Established in 1871, the University of Nebraska State Museum is the state's premier museum of natural history. The mission of Museum is to discover and disseminate knowledge about the natural world through research and education. Visitors to Morrill Hall will find interactive exhibits featuring Nebraska’s past and present biological diversity, and its cultural heritage with a dedicated First Peoples of the Plains gallery.
