Practicing systems thinking habits can change the way you see the world and influence the actions or decisions you make. We created this project to help teachers and students explore some personally meaningful ways to playfully develop systems thinking skills.   

The Nebraska Pollinator Habitat Certification Program provides educational information on plant selection and how to protect pollinators throughout Nebraska. 

This is a series of exploratory lessons covering insect pollinators and their conservation. It is designed for Pre-K through 3rd grades following Nebraska Early Learning Guidelines.

The Nebraska 4-H Premier Animal Science Event (PASE) features a variety of state-level animal science contests. The two-day event is held annually at the Nebraska Animal Science Complex in Lincoln. Youth explore issues related to the animal industry, discover college and career opportunities, and work with other youth from across the state.

The Pesticide Safety Education Program (PSEP) at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, in concert with Extension Specialists, Extension Educators, and other collaborators, provides educational and training programs that address human health, the environment, economic wellbeing, and pesticide safety. 

Nebraska Extension’s Early Childhood Team is pleased to be able to offer a variety of online classes to meet the needs of the Early Childhood Workforce.  No Cost early childhood training is available thanks to sponsorships. 

Annual workshops for nursery & green industry professionals, public works employees, landscape managers, arborists, tree board volunteers and cemetery & grounds keepers. This year's sessions focus on plant selection, pest problems in turf & trees and common customer problems.

The Nebraska Forest Service leads the state by inspiring and assisting others to create and sustain healthy, productive forests. Our conservation education program helps both formal and non-formal educators, families, and natural resource professionals with resources to educate Nebraskans on conservation concepts and issues. Conservation Education helps people of all ages develop the critical thinking skills they need to understand complex environmental issues and make informed decisions. 

The Psychological Consultation Center doctoral students provide psychological services to individuals and families in Lincoln and surrounding communities. At the same time, the PCC is a teaching, training, and research center. Services are provided primarily by doctoral students and all services provided in the PCC are supervised by licensed clinical psychologists.

UNL Inventory auctions are held every three to four months.  

P2E is a self-directed course that is available on your time and wherever it's convenient for you.  You should be able to complete each module in 45 - 60 minutes, including assignments. 

The Public Policy Center is a university-wide, multidisciplinary research and outreach unit committed to addressing complex issues by linking academic research, stakeholder perspectives, and practical experience through innovative and creative solutions. Our mission is to link policy with research, process, and practice by working with researchers, policymakers, and stakeholders to actively inform public policy.   

UNL College of Journalism and Mass Communications teaches a public relations strategy class and partners with community-based clients, preferably groups looking for short-term (week-long) outreach or publicity initiatives. This course leads you through hands-on sessions to develop a simple set of financial records and reports using Quicken. Exercises based on scenarios from a case farm allow you to practice many of the steps you might use to keep records on your farm or ranch.   

The Nebraska Extension Early Childhood team has identified books to support children’s coping and understanding of their feelings after experiencing a major stressor, disaster, loss, and/or grief. Free storybook reading guides accompany the books. The guides provide adults with suggested activities and probing questions to help children personally connect with the experiences of the characters in the books. 

Recipe to Reality provides a general overview of the many issues involved in developing a food manufacturing business. Seminar topics address important questions that every entrepreneur should consider.  The seminar is available In Person or also as an On Demand format.
