The purpose of the Nebraska Evaluation and Research (NEAR) Center is to promote sound statistical, measurement, and research methodology. The NEAR Center provides services to business, industry, and government organizations when considered appropriate for education and/or training of students. 

The annual Nebraska Feedlot Extension Roundtables bring professionals from the industry to three locations across the state to address timely topics relevant to feedlot management.

The Nebraska Innocence Clinic raises awareness of wrongful convictions in the state and works to exonerate those who have been wrongfully convicted.

Nebraska Innovation Campus (NIC) is a campus designed to facilitate new and in-depth partnerships between the University of Nebraska and private sector businesses. It is the place to build the big idea, where imagination meets hard work, and collaboration yields results. NIC provides you and your organization access to culture, talent, and resources.

Nebraska Innovation Studio (NIS) is a community-oriented makerspace that serves as a hub for innovators, artists, and entrepreneurs. Students can get a membership at a discounted rate to Nebraska Innovation Studio, one of the top makerspaces in the nation. The 16,000 square-foot facility equipped with a full metal shop, wood shop, rapid prototyping room, art studio, ceramics and textile equipment, screen printing station, and more. 

As an affiliate of the Nebraska Academy of Sciences, the Nebraska Junior Academy of Sciences (NJAS) seeks to stimulate science education and to encourage young people to become involved in science. The NJAS Science Fair, held annually in April at UNL, brings together the Top 6 junior and senior high student projects from each region of the state. 

Nebraska MEP’s approach is to work with each client individually, understand their needs, and tailor a plan to meet specific goals and objectives. The end goal is to increase the profitability and competitiveness of manufacturers through a concerted effort to develop high caliber workers, foster product innovation, cultivate new customers, and enter new markets.   

Our program recruits, trains, manages, and provides resources for our Naturalist members participating in interpretation and outreach, resource management, citizen science, and outdoor skills and recreation in Nebraska.
